Josiah Beshear | Chapter Director
Josiah grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, and graduated from Midwestern State University. Josiah grew up in church, but it wasn’t until high school that he realized what the Gospel meant, and God completely changed his heart. Early in his college career, Josiah found a passion for full-time ministry and decided to work at his local church for four years. He spent his summers at Pine Cove Camps, and then later attended the Kanakuk Institute in 2022. Josiah is a big coffee guy, and loves to talk about God’s Word with those around him.
But that’s not all there is! Josiah is crazy about three things: Jesus, sports, and Dr. Pepper. Tennessee has become home for him for the last 4 years and he looks forward to more!
Sydney Stivers | Women’s Director
Sydney grew up in Paducah, KY and is a graduate of Murray State University. It was during her time at MSU as an education major that a heart for students began to grow. Her summers during college were spent working at Kanakuk K-Seven. After graduation, Sydney went on to attend the Kanakuk Institute where she was introduced to KLIFE! The Lord used Sydney’s time at KI to greatly deepen her understanding of His word and grow her ability to communicate it to others. She is passionate about spurring students and leaders on to live bold lives for the sake of the Gospel!
In Sydney’s spare time she loves to watch 90’s tv, read a good book, go on sonic drink runs, or take a road trip! Sydney is excited to be with Nashville KLIFE and can’t wait to see the Lord continue the good work He is doing in His people here!
Lexis Tomberlin | Women’s Director
Lexis grew up in Spring, Texas, and attended the University of Arkansas. She spent most of her college summers working at Kanakuk K-Seven where she discovered a deep love for discipleship and walking alongside the next generation. Lexis spent time during her college years coaching kid’s soccer and investing in students through various roles. She completed her undergraduate degree in three years and spent a fourth earning her Master’s in Supply Chain Management while working for Greek Life at the university. After graduate school, she attended the Kanakuk Institute, where the Lord grew her confidence in His Word and equipped her to teach it boldly and faithfully.
In her free time, Lexis enjoys going on runs, doing anything sports-related, and sipping a good vanilla latte. She values intentional conversations but also loves to laugh and have fun! Lexis is so excited to be a part of Nashville KLIFE and is eager to see how the Lord moves in this community!
DJ Beachy | Men’s Director
DJ grew up in Meade, Kansas, but spent about half of his life living in the Philippines, where his parents served as missionaries. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. DJ has served 5 summers at Kanakuk K-Kountry; it was there that DJ developed a strong desire to help shepherd the next generation and show them the Jesus that he knows! It was also through K-Kountry that he was introduced to the Kanakuk Institute, which he attended during the 25-26 school year.
In his free time, DJ enjoys running, playing basketball, hiking, swimming, and really anything outdoors! DJ and his wife, Liv, are new to Nashville and are excited to step into life and ministry here!
